My Inner Shopaholic

It's not very often that I go on a shopping spree, but today I found my inner shopaholic and I may or may not have gone a little crazy. I had a coupon to get 30 percent off my entire purchase at Old Navy and I found so many cute things that I couldn't help but buy them. I have to say that I am extremely happy with everything that I bought, which doesn't happen very often. I am typically the customer that can't decide if I really like what I've tried on enough to buy it and then if I do buy anything I usually end up returning something. But not this time. I love everything and I am now very ready for spring and summer to begin. I got some super cute shorts and lots of cute tops. I can't wait to wear them! Bring on the sunshine.

Southern Drawl

"Have you lived in the South?"

"I like your accent."

"You kind of talk with a southern accent."

Believe it or not these statements have all been said to me in the past year by numerous people. It happened again today at church and I decided I finally needed to blog about it. So after getting questioned about where I'm from and having people comment on how they like my accent what else am I supposed to assume, but that I do, indeed talk with a slight southern drawl?  This wouldn't be quite so interesting to me if I had actually lived in more than one state but I have lived in Utah my whole life!
The only explanation that I have for this accent phenomenon is that my mom is from Missouri and maybe I picked it up from her and our yearly trips back there to stay with my grandparents. Of course that doesn't explain why I am only getting comments about it now.

I'm not going to lie I like that I apparently have an accent, and I will take it as a sign that I am a cowgirl at heart.
